Our Legacy: Dr. Wes Samford, D.M.D.

In 2007, Dr. Wes Samford established Mountain Brook Smiles. He set out to create a world class dental office in the heart of Birmingham, Alabama with a spa-like environment and service second to none. In 2020, after a tenured career and, as he would say, the privilege of taking care of his patients, Dr. Samford retired from dentistry.

Before leaving, Dr. Samford sought a successor who would continue treating his patients like family while providing excellence in dental care. He was happy to transition Mountain Brook Smiles to Dr. Craig Rousso. Dr. Samford's legacy lives on through not only his dentistry, but the stories recalled by patients and by the love he still holds for this office and his patients.

Dr. Wes Samford was privileged to take care of his patients dental health in Birmingham for more than 40 years. His knowledge allowed him to practice not only as a dentist, but also as a consultant and as a lecturer, even speaking and teaching at the UAB School of Dentistry.

Dr. Samford now enjoys his free time, but has not slowed down! He enjoys spending time working in real estate with his wife, Joy. He also enjoys his time with his children and grandchildren as well as his dog, Charlie. Dr. Samford still stops by to say hi, so if you happen to be here and see him, please say hello!
