A Letter from Dr. Samford on Retirement
To My Dear Patients and Friends,
After practicing dentistry for 45 years, I’ve decided that it is time to consider retirement. As of December 31, 2020, I will no longer be seeing patients. It has been my honor to be your dentist, and I have sincerely appreciated your continued trust and confidence in allowing me to care for your oral health through the years.
I am happy to announce that I have hand-selected Dr. Craig Rousso to continue taking care of your dental needs at Mountain Brook Smiles. Most of you have had the pleasure of meeting Dr. Rousso during our year-long transition which I believe has proven that you will remain in excellent hands. A Birmingham native, Dr. Rousso attended the University of Alabama at Birmingham for dental school. He completed an advanced general dentistry residency in California before returning to Birmingham to serve his hometown over the past several years.
I took the task of finding my replacement very seriously and have chosen a person I feel will continue my philosophy of providing excellent, personalized care. Dr. Rousso has my complete confidence both personally and professionally, and I’m sure he will have yours as well.
I’m also pleased to share that our team–Danielle, Rhonda, Heather, Paige, and Melody–will continue to serve you moving forward. I know Dr. Rousso will appreciate, as I have, all the little things they do to make you more comfortable.
The decision to retire was a difficult one, because I love being a dentist. I have truly enjoyed my relationships with patients and staff, and I’ve experienced endless satisfaction and joy from caring for you and your families over the years. I look back with fondness and pride on my years here with you and all that we’ve accomplished together. Thank you for your kindness, your loyalty, and your trust. Please know that you have all of my best wishes for the future.
Best,
Dr. Wes Samford, DMD
